WHAT MAKES THE CUBE DIFFERENT
Every other ICON product is circular — the arena wraps around the player, panels always the same distance from the centre. The Cube breaks that model. Its square format creates corners and straight walls that force players to move away from the centre — demanding more touches of the ball before playing the pass, and requiring constant adjustment of body position and passing angle as the geometry changes.
This develops two things that the circular ICON cannot isolate in the same way: ball manipulation with both feet, and decision-making under spatial pressure. Players must think about their next passing angle before they receive the ball — exactly the cognitive load of a real match situation. The Cube also requires high-intensity multi-directional movement to shift the ball as quickly as possible, resulting in genuine cardiovascular conditioning as a natural outcome of the session.
The circular ICON keeps the player equidistant from every panel. The Cube's square corners destroy that symmetry. Players must take more touches before every pass, use both feet with equal confidence, and read the geometry of the arena constantly — not just react to a lit panel, but think about where the next pass needs to go before the ball arrives.
The Cube requires multi-directional movement at high intensity to shift the ball across the square as quickly as possible. Unlike the circular ICON where movement patterns become predictable, the Cube constantly repositions the player — producing genuine cardiovascular endurance as a natural outcome of every session, not a separate training component.
More touches before every pass — the square geometry demands clean ball manipulation to reposition quickly before playing.
The asymmetric geometry forces players to use both feet with equal confidence — no predictable patterns to exploit with a dominant foot.
Players must think about their next passing angle before receiving — the same cognitive demand as reading a real match situation under pressure.
High-intensity multi-directional movement required to shift the ball across the square — fitness as a natural result of technical work.
The CUBE takes the ICON to the next level. It adds a new challenge of needing to line up your passes, as the square shape demands the players to have an even sharper first touch. Decision making demands also increase as the players must think of their next passing angle."

THE ICON CUBE - PRODUCT
The Cube connects to the same ESA data platform as every other product in the range. Vibration sensors capture detailed performance data from every touch — accuracy, reaction speed, and improvement tracked across multiple sessions.
For the Cube specifically, the data platform captures both-feet performance metrics — showing coaches whether a player's weaker foot is genuinely developing or whether they're finding ways to compensate with their dominant foot. This is data that traditional coaching observation cannot reliably capture across a whole squad in a single session.
Players compete against their own session benchmarks and against teammates. The competitive element of the Cube is particularly effective — the geometry of the arena makes high scores genuinely difficult, which means improvements are more meaningful and more motivating.
